MELBOURNE - A Queensland woman has survived a murder plot after police yesterday foiled a plan by her husband and his Melbourne lover to kill her.
Police believe the pair planned to kill the woman yesterday by staging an accident. In what they said was a race against time, Victorian police flew to the Gold Coast last week following a tip-off to try to identify and locate the woman.
They finally found the 34-year-old and took her into protective custody on Sunday and then swooped on houses in Melbourne and the Gold Coast yesterday to arrest her husband and his lover. They will be charged with conspiracy to murder.
