A woman and child have died after being hit by a train in "suspicious circumstances" at Slough station in Berkshire.
The pair, who have not been named, were pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 9.45am this morning.
Police are believed to be investigating whether they were pushed in front of the train as it came into the station.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police could not give any more details and said officers were "keeping an open mind".
"At this time the incident at Slough has been declared suspicious and officers are investigating the circumstances," he added.
