KEY POINTS:
Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated robbery at a Shell service station in Tauranga last night.
Detective Bruce Ross of Tauranga CIB said a Maori or Polynesian man aged 19-22 entered the Shell station at Gate Pa around 9.50pm, produced a weapon and demanded money from the sole attendant.
The man, who is described as 170cm tall, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black knee length shorts, escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.
