The world of Pokemon Go! is in turmoil.
Users of the latest smartphone craze are devastated after an update of the app's features resulted in the entire game being reset.
A number of disgruntled would-be Pokemon trainers have allegedly lost three weeks of progress with the iOS and Android updateof the game on Saturday.
Plenty of the game's fans took to social media to mourn the loss of their digital friends, with some even calling for a refund of money spent along the way.
"After the update my account reset to the beginning. I lost my Pokemon and all the money I put into this game," one user wrote.

One user claimed it was possible to regather progress by using a different login on the game.
The new update allegedly promises to improve a number of glitches in playing mode, and also includes a number of warnings, discouraging people from using the app while driving, and from illegally trespassing in order to catch the creatures.
The Pokemon game was released on July 6 this year, and has since attracted as many as 9.5 million daily user around the world.
