KEY POINTS:
Two small planes collided over the Florida Everglades, crashing into the swamp, and authorities said there were probably no survivors.
A Piper and a plane believed to be a Cessna crashed, said Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen.
Authorities believe there was only one person on board the Piper. They were still determining last night how many people were on the second plane.
The area where the planes went down is only accessible by airboat, and Captain Don DeLucia of the rescue service said the wreckage had sunk. He said no bodies had yet been recovered.
