Canada's Transportation Safety Board said yesterday it was investigating what caused a United Express plane on its way into Ottawa's Macdonald-Cartier International Airport to skid off a runway on Thursday.
Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after the plane, coming from Washington, skidded off the end of the runway in Ottawa.
Airport spokeswoman Krista Kealey said 33 passengers and three crew were aboard.
Transportation Safety Board spokesman Denis Rivard said that the plane overran the runway and came to rest 150m off the runway.
