Plane-plot men in court via video link

Eight British Muslims charged over an alleged plot to down up to 10 US-bound jetliners with improvised bombs were involved in court action overnight.

The men, aged between 19 and 28, are charged with conspiring to commit murder and preparing acts of terrorism.

They were to appear by video link from prison for the hearing at London's Central Criminal Court.

A total of 15 people have been charged with offences.
