Philippines rebels call for coup

Four renegade military officers on the run after escaping from detention on Wednesday have called for the overthrow of the Philippines Government.

"Corruption, illegitimacy and neglect must end," said a statement issued by the four lieutenants, who were detained after taking part in a failed coup against President Gloria Arroyo in 2003.
