DENPASAR - The Bali Nine and Schapelle Corby are planning to have a Christmas party behind the walls of Kerobokan Prison.
Australian vice-consul Brian Diamond said the inmates would get together with family members for a roast chicken lunch on Friday.
"The prison has given us permission for the party, but on the condition there is no media and no alcohol," he said.
Australian woman Annie Sihombing, who runs the Sanur Deli on Bali, is catering the affair.
She said they would tuck into stuffed roast chicken and salads, and an array of desserts including plum pudding, mince pies and gingerbread men.
This is the first time Australians in a Bali prison will celebrate Christmas as a private group. Previously, all foreign prisoners had been invited to a joint party organised by foreign consulates.
"These are young kids and it may be their first time away from home for Christmas, but certainly it's their first time in prison for a Christmas," Diamond said of the Bali Nine.
Alleged Bali Nine mule Scott Rush's parents, Lee and Christine from Brisbane, are in Bali and will be there.
Corby's sister Mercedes and her family will also be there.
Apart from church services on Christmas Day, inmates inside Kerobokan do not usually receive any special treatment during the festive season.
