Parking pilferers busted

A crime gang that allegedly stole more than A$800,000 ($968,000) from Brisbane parking meters has been busted, police said.

Two men have been arrested while police are interviewing another four people.

Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson said the criminal operation had been "protracted and very clever".

Officials declined to give details of how the cash was stolen.
