A 10-year-old girl was left behind by her parents on an airliner in southern China after they got off the plane without her, according to a newspaper report.
The girl was found asleep by flight attendants checking the cabin after a flight from Chengdu in Sichuan province touched down at Guangzhou's international airport after midnight early on Tuesday, the South China Morning Post reported.
A member of the cabin crew told the paper that the girl had boarded the plane with her parents, but sat alone at the back of the aircraft during the flight.
By the time the girl was woken up, her parents had already got off the plane with other passengers and were heading to the arrival hall in a shuttle bus, the report said.
Her father said they thought their daughter would join them as they were collecting their luggage.
