KEY POINTS:
US authorities yesterday arrested a 58-year-old man on paedophilia charges, just two days after Interpol launched an international hunt for a man photographed sexually abusing Asian boys.
Wayne Nelson Corliss, a small-time actor who painted faces at children's parties, was arrested in Union City in New Jersey and later appeared in court in Newark.
He is thought to have abused at least three boys, aged between 6 and 10.
He was charged with coercing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purposes of pornography, according to an initial criminal complaint.
He did not enter a plea and was expected to appear in court again on Monday.
He faces up to 20 years in jail if convicted.
