A large quake has struck off the coast of Fiji last night.
The quake was recorded as measuring 6.8 on Richter scale by GNS Science while the US Geological Survey has recorded the quake measuring 7.2.
The quake struck about 120km north-east of Fiji just before midnight (NZ time).
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre logged the quake at 7.1 magnitude and said there is no threat of a tsunami wave.
