It was just two days before a mass shooting in San Bernardino in which 14 people were killed and another 21 injured. In the photo, Christmas decorations adorn the background as Fiore stands alongside five adult family members -- all of whom are holding guns -- as well as four young children, including her grandson, Jake, who is also clutching a gun.
The caption reads: "It's up to Americans to protect America. We're just your ordinary American family."
In the top left corner of the picture there's a list of each person's weapon: Beretta 92fs, Glock 30 .45ACP, Serbu Super Shorty 12ga, Extar EXP-556, Walther p22, Glock 19 9mm, Glock 30 .45ACP.
But comments below the Facebook post show not everyone thinks the photo depicts the "ordinary American family".
Juan Cardenas wrote: "Thank god this is far from ordinary."
"Disagree. Guns and getting to them easy is what's wrong with America," Melissa Marsh commented.
Fiore has frequently spoken out on gun advocacy in the past, including earlier this year when she argued university rapists would be deterred "if these young, hot little girls had a firearm".
The comments came after Fiore introduced a bill allowing people with concealed weapons permits to carry firearms at universities in Nevada -- one of 10 states in the gun-friendly American West and South where such legislation has been tabled.
"If these young, hot little girls on campus have a firearm, I wonder how many men will want to assault them," she told the New York Times.
"The sexual assaults that are occurring would go down once these sexual predators get a bullet in their head."
