A British man and his wife left his ageing mother-in-law at a ferry carpark - and only realised when they were halfway to France.
The pair urgently called Port of Dover police, who found the woman sitting in the car in a multi-storey carpark and took care of her.
British media said the old lady, believed to be in her 70s, gave the couple "a piece of her mind" when they returned about four hours later on the next ferry back from Calais.
