LONDON - The original cloak worn by Alec Guinness' Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars has turned up in a British fancy dress shop, where it had been hired out as part of a monk's outfit.
The cloak had made its way to London costume firm Angels and Bermans after filming finished. Company boss Tim Angel said it was discovered during a stock check.
"One of the guys was sorting through a pile and saw this brown one with an odd-shaped hood.
"He put it on and the manager said, 'Oh my God, it's Alec Guinness' cloak from Star Wars'."
A Star Wars costume designer verified the cloak. Estimates put the robe's value at £25,000 ($65,841).
