One man has been killed and another critically injured after riding a shopping trolley down a steep hill in Sydney.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, police estimate the two men reached speeds of up to 80km/h on the trolley before it crashed into a vehicle.
One man was riding in the trolley while the other was standing on the back as they travelled down a road in Sydney's east at about 12.20am today.
Chief Inspector Chris Stiles said it's believed the men crossed to the incorrect side of the road near an intersection.
The men, both aged 28 and originally from Sweden, crashed into a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction. The impact threw both men onto the road.
