Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister met police investigators yesterday, bowing to demands by protesters that he face possible criminal charges before they end their two-month-old occupation of Bangkok's commercial centre.
The Red Shirts said on Monday they would continue their demonstration until the Prime Minister and his deputy, Suthep Thaugsuban, surrendered to police to face possible charges over deadly street violence that has left 29 people dead and hundreds injured.
