How mini can a miniskirt be? If the mayor of an Italian seaside town has his way, law enforcement officials, not fashion gurus, will decide.
Luigi Bobbio, Mayor of Castellammare di Stabia, got his way yesterday when the council approved a ban on football in parks and squares, blasphemy out loud and "very skimpy clothes".
Bobbio said miniskirts and other provocative outfits would be allowed if they were not too revealing. Violators can be fined up to €500 ($925).
