US President Barack Obama has apologised to Hamid Karzai, the President of Afghanistan, about the burning of Korans at the US air base at Bagram, north of Kabul.
Afghan labourers found charred copies of the Muslim holy book while collecting rubbish. Obama stressed that the incident was not intentional.
