A New Zealand man has been charged over an unprovoked attack on another man at a Melbourne railway station.
The victim was with two friends on the platform at Windsor station about 8.30pm on September 29 when the 19-year-old New Zealander struck up a conversation with them, news.com.au reported today.
Without warning, the New Zealand man allegedly punched the victim in the face, the news website said.
He reportedly handed himself in to police at Mansfield, in Victoria's northeast, yesterday.
He was charged with a number of counts of assault and was bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on November 29.
