Protesters held mass demonstrations against nuclear power across Japan, marking the three-month anniversary of the powerful earthquake and tsunami that killed more than 23,000 people and triggered one of the world's worst nuclear disasters.
Thousands of chanting protesters jammed streets in parts of Tokyo, paralysing sections of the city. Some called for Japan's nuclear plants to be shut down now and for stricter radiation tests by the Government.
