The bush fire season is in full swing in New South Wales and emergency teams are facing a demanding weekend.
There is a serious drought and temperatures in the 30s the Sydney region, where two fires are already being dealt with.
Experts say most bush fires are caused by human error, but Acting New South Wales Premier John Watkins says arsonists also do a lot of damage.
"It's astounding that anyone would deliberately commit arson in weather like this, but unfortunately these people are with us. There's a real message there for members of the wider community," he said.
Five suspected arsonists have been arrested in the last week.
