PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria - Nigerian militants today released two Italian oil workers they had been holding hostage in remote creeks in the oil-producing Niger Delta since December 7, a Reuters witness said.
The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, which demands greater local control of oil revenues, had seized the employees of oil company Agip in a raid on an oil export terminal.
