Nicole Kidman has visited Kosovo's capital Pristina as part of her role as UN Development Fund for Women, or Unifem, ambassador.
The Oscar-winner is working as part of a mission to support women in various regions of the world and help them solve the problems they are facing.
The actress was named goodwill ambassador for Unifem in January this year.
After walking the red carpet at the Rome Film Festival during the weekend, Kidman arrived in the Serbian province to be greeted by Kosovo's premier UN official Joachim Ruecker.
Today she will travel to Djakovica, in the south west of Kosovo, where approximately 1000 men disappeared during the 1998-1999 conflict, reported Associated Press.
