A news anchor has tragically fallen to her death from the top of a 48m waterfall, just a day before her 25th birthday.
Taylor Terrell was visiting Rainbow Falls in the US state of North Carolina on Thursday afternoon with a friend when she lost her footing.
United States Forest Service spokeswoman Cathy Dowd said Terrell slipped on rocks covered in algae while swimming and was swept over the edge of the waterfall.
Dowd said officials concluded that 24-year-old Terrell's death was an "accident".
