Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday sought to calm fears of an imminent conflict with Lebanese Hizbollah guerrillas by saying Israel sought peace with its neighbours. A statement quoted him saying Israel was not planning any imminent attack on Lebanon. Earlier yesterday, Israeli minister Yossi Peled said that another confrontation with Hizbollah was almost inevitable.
