Macedonia and Kosovo established diplomatic relations yesterday, having sealed a deal to demarcate a shared border after years of tense dispute. The border deal, reached on Friday, defines the 150km frontier between Macedonia and Kosovo.
The Balkan neighbours' foreign ministers signed a joint communique pledging to "strengthen the friendly relations on the basis of mutual respect of the national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity", Macedonia's Foreign Ministry said.
