A naked man was arrested after he caused US$1700 (NZ$2357) in damages to two patrol cars after deputies found him wandering down a highway in Florida.
Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) came in contact with 18-year old Andrew Humphries as he was walking nude down South US Highway 441.
Around 7.45pm, deputies responded to the area to assist Marion County Fire Rescue with the accident., Daily Mail reports.
While en route, deputies learned that the driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene on foot.
Police said Humphries had just left the scene of the vehicle accident when they arrived.
A responding officer found Humphries, in the 8900 block of South Highway 441, walking down the road.
Dash camera video shows the encounter between Humphries and the deputy.
As the deputy exited his vehicle, Humphries walked to the front of the patrol car and tried to open the driver's door, which was locked, according to a police statement.
Due to his erratic behavior, Humphries was placed in handcuffs and secured in the back of the deputy's vehicle.
"Humphries then began kicking the rear passenger door of the patrol car and pulling on the metal cage, causing $1000 in damage," police said in a statement.
Deputies believe the entire door will most likely need to be replaced.
He was then arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail.
Witnesses told deputies that while they were investigating the crash Humphries left the scene and walked up to a vehicle parked at the MCSO South Multi-District Office.
Humphries attempted to open the door to the car and he pulled the door handle off the vehicle.
Witnesses added that when he couldn't get into the car, Humphries then urinated on the vehicle.
That particular vehicle belongs to a MCSO deputy, who estimates the damage to his car is valued at approximately US$700 (NZ$970).
Humphries is being charged with one count one misdemeanour count of criminal mischief and one count of felony criminal mischief property damage of US$1000 (NZ$1386) or more.
According to authorities, Humphries denied taking any kind of narcotics.
