KEY POINTS:
Police in Myanmar have detained more than a dozen members of Aung San Suu Kyi's opposition party.
The members of the National League for Democracy were marching yesterday from the party's headquarters to her home when riot police shoved the group into a truck.
Suu Kyi has been detained for more than 12 of the past 18 years. Security was stepped up around her home as the military junta faced a deadline to decide whether to extend her current period of house arrest or release her.
