Mussolini relative to stand

Alessandra Mussolini, granddaughter of the fascist dictator, will run for a seat in Italy's lower house of Parliament in upcoming elections.

Mussolini heads the tiny Social Alternative Party, and had previously indicated she would not run after a dispute with Premier Silvio Berlusconi's coalition over two neo-fascist allies she proposed as candidates.

Mussolini said she had agreed to join Berlusconi's coalition after the premier agreed to include a number of policies she supports.
