Musharraf planning return

General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan's former military ruler, is plotting a return from exile in London to start a new political party, despite threats that he will face criminal trial.

Musharraf seized power in a bloodless coup in 1999 and stood down as President after losing elections in 2008.

A close aide of Musharraf in Islamabad said supporters had begun registering a party, the All Pakistan Muslim League.
