CANBERRA - A letter confessing to a murder committed more than a century ago has been uncovered during renovations to a home near the South Australia state capital Adelaide, sparking a police hunt for human remains on Monday.
"A letter was found by residents at the house. It may point to the confession of a supposed murder," a police spokeswoman told Reuters.
She said police were searching an area of Birdwood, around 35 km north of Adelaide, for human remains.
