Iran's opposition leader, Mir-Hossein Moussavi, was dismissed by the Supreme Council from his last remaining state-funded position as president of the Academy of Art.
Moussavi, a former Prime Minister, had headed the academy since its establishment in 1999.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad heads the council which dismissed the opposition chief.
