Germany, France and Britain have now joined the United States in closing embassies in Yemen for security reasons.
American missions in more than 20 countries across the Middle East are being shut down, because intelligence sources believe a terror attack is in the works.
But while an attack is likely to be aimed at the West...do people in western countries need to be worried?
CNN's Peter Bergen reports."The last time that Al Qaeda attacked the United States was 9/11, the last time Al Qaeda attacked in the west for instance was in 2005. Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, in Yemen, has attempted a number of attacks on American targets and has almost invariably failed. The record that these groups have is really a record of failure."
