KEY POINTS:
JERUSALEM - Israel is developing what is believed to be the largest-yet unmanned aircraft, for long-range operations and destroying ballistic missiles as they are being launched.
Israel Aircraft Industries' Eitan has a wing span of 35m - similar to a Boeing 737. Yediot Aharonot reports the drone was designed for long and high altitude flights. It is equipped with advanced cameras and missiles, allowing it to identify and intercept long-range missiles as they are being fired. It will make its maiden flight in coming days.
