DENPASAR, Bali - A Bali court will hand down its verdict in the Michelle Leslie drug case today.
Whether she is found guilty or not guilty, the Australian model expects to be released by Monday.
Prosecutors have asked three judges in the Denpasar District Court to convict her and impose a three-month prison term - a period she's already almost served behind bars since her arrest on August 20.
Her defence team, though, is hoping for an acquittal for the 24-year-old Adelaide-born woman.
If Leslie is convicted she may not be allowed to sell her story to the media under Australian law that prohibits criminals from profiting from their misdeeds.
Also in the Denpasar court today will be Bali Nine defendants Renae Lawrence of Newcastle and Myuran Sukumaran of Sydney.
