A mini-tornado has carved through Perth's northern suburbs, cutting power to 5000 homes and leaving a trail of destruction.
The whirlwind hit the suburbs of Dianella and Morley about noon on Thursday, ripping down power lines and damaging cars and homes.
Trees were reportedly uprooted, with most of the damage around the intersection of Morley and Alexander drives.
No-one was reported injured, but fire and emergency services have rushed to the scene.
Western Power is urging people to stay away from fallen power lines and report any damage to authorities.
