A wheelchair-bound woman was thrown to the ground and sexually assaulted near a Sydney shopping centre, police say.
The woman, 39, was leaving the Ryde shopping centre when she was approached by four men on Devlin Street, about 8.30pm on August 12.
Police allege one of the group wheeled her up a ramp and into a car park, where she was lifted from her wheelchair and thrown to the ground.
She was then allegedly struck to the head and sexually assaulted.
The group fled when a man and a woman came to her assistance. The pair then drove her home.
Sydney police are keen to speak to the good samaritan couple, who are described as being of Indian appearance.
