The family of a Melbourne woman missing with her boyfriend in the Canadia wilderness are living a "nightmare" not knowing if she's alive or dead.
Sophie Dowsley, 34, and her partner Gregory Tiffin, 44, set off for a day hike three hours west of Vancouver nearly two weeks ago.
Canadian authorities were notified when the pair didn't turn up to work and rescue crews later found the couple's car and personal belongings near a waterfall.
The pair was hiking at Statlu Lake near Chehalis - between the communities of Mission and Harrison Hot Springs.
Yesterday, the body of Tiffin was found in the lake. Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed that dive teams made the discovery.
