KEY POINTS:
Portuguese media have reported that the parents of missing four-year-old Madeliene McCann will not be questioned again by local police.
Prosecutor genereral Luis Bilro Verao was quoted by LUSA news agency as saying Kate and Gerry McCann will not need to face questioning by Portuguese police as recent interviews had failed to make more progress in the case.
"New elements of proof - after interrogations on September 7 - have not gathered anything to justify new questioning, so it is not planned," Verao told the agency.
