A cartoonist proved he is doubly gifted after live-sketching the New York Marathon - while running it.
Christoph Niemann, a cartoonist for The New York Times Magazine, sketched and painted his way through the 26 mile marathon, tweeting his pictures to thousands of followers as he ran.
Niemann, who has been practising for months in order to get the hang of sketching and running simultaneously, tweeted a new picture almost every mile.
The cartoonist sent so many tweets during the race, he had to open a new Twitter account to take the spillover - all while running.
The multi-talented artist took four hours to finish the marathon - completing twenty sketches and paintings along the way.
