Manhole drowning

A 23-year-old woman in Springfield, Illinois has drowned after getting trapped in an uncovered manhole during heavy rain.

Police say she and a man were in a car that got stuck in a flooded viaduct and got out to start pushing. The woman slipped into a manhole and was under water for about four minutes before the man and a police officer could free her.
