A Queensland man who had been stabbed in the back returned to a pub for one last beer before contacting police.
An alleged fight broke out between the 27-year-old and another man, 20, at the Sunshine Coast's Beerwah Hotel before the pair were kicked out on the road where the fight continued.
The older man was then allegedly stabbed in the back and instead of going to hospital, he returned to the pub and kept drinking while the knife was still lodged in his back.
He soon called the police and was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The QPS spokeswoman said the two men were known to each other and one man was currently assisting police with their inquiries.
