A man who allegedly left a broken knife embedded in another man's face has yet to enter a plea to a charge of attempted murder.
Vance Paraki Tuheke, 31, appeared in North Shore District Court today charged with attempted murder and was remanded until August 14.
Tuheke was arrested the day after an attack in Albany, on Auckland's North Shore, which left another man, 36, with a knife blade in his face from just below his left eye through his nasal cavity and across to the other side of his face.
Surgeons removed the blade during a delicate operation at Auckland Hospital.
He was expected to make a full recovery.
