A man who underwent a six-organ transplant has been released, ready to eat for the first time in two years.
Greg Marshall, 43, of Antwerp, New York, received a pancreas, liver, kidney, stomach, small intestine and colon during a 14-hour operation in Washington D.C. on August 25.
Marshall, who suffered a genetic disorder that leads to tumours in his intestinal tract, had been fed intravenously for two years.
"For some reason, I've been dying for a sausage," he said.
