A man who underwent a six-organ transplant has been released, ready to eat for the first time in two years.
Greg Marshall, 43, of Antwerp, New York, received a pancreas, liver, kidney, stomach, small intestine and colon during a 14-hour operation in Washington D.C. on August 25.
Marshall, who suffereda genetic disorder that leads to tumours in his intestinal tract, had been fed intravenously for two years.
"For some reason, I've been dying for a sausage," he said.
