Sydney police say a young man killed by a train as he crossed rail lines in the city's inner west early this morning might have been involved in a robbery in the area.
The man, who is yet to be identified but is believed to be aged in his early to mid-20s, was hit by a city-bound train as he and two others crossed a set of six train tracks near Newtown station just before 6am, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
