A man has been charged over a dog attack that left a 2-year-old girl with serious injuries to her head and body, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The youngster was playing in the garden of the house in Cockburn St, Liverpool, when she suffered the "savage" attack yesterday. A woman, 57, was also injured.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said Andrew McGowan, 35, has been charged with having four dogs that were dangerously out of control and injured the pair.
McGowan, who also lives in Cockburn St, has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
Police said the toddler suffered serious injuries to her head and body after the got into the garden of the house where she was playing.
