Male nurse arrested for sexual assault of female patients under anesthesia

An Atlanta nurse has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting female patients while they were under anesthesia.

Two pastors told police multiple women claimed Michael Morgan, 33, had touched their breasts at Northern Crescent Endoscopy.

A warrant was issued for Morgan's arrest after the pastors spoke with detectives and explained how they learned of the allegations.

Morgan was charged with two counts of sexual battery and two counts of custodial sexual assault on Saturday.

The alleged assaults took place at the clinic between February and April, the New York Post reported.

An attorney for Morgan's employer, Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, told the Post that physicians and staff were "shocked and concerned about the allegations surrounding a former employee".

Attorney M. Scott Bailey said "each employee goes through a background check as a part of the hiring process. There are policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff."
