Italian authorities say police have captured the No2 boss of a bloody Camorra crime clan near Caserta after six years on the run.
Police yesterday arrested Mario Caterino, considered the right-hand man of imprisoned Casalesi crime family boss Francesco Schiavone, in a house in Casal di Principe, stronghold of the Camorra clan.
Caterino, a fugitive since 2005, had been sentenced to life in prison for homicide.
In a separate raid, police - tipped off by an informer - found a huge stash of suspected extortion payments hidden inside the walls of a mobster's apartment in Naples.
La Repubblica's website said there were so many €500 ($920) bills, police had to request a money-counting machine.
News reports said the stash could total as much as €5 million.
